RONALD GEORGE UNGER Peacefully, on May 3, 2009, Ronald George Unger passed away at his home, at the age of 59 years. Predeceased by his father, Abram in 1978. Ron is survived by his mother Katherine (Kay); sister Linda (Harry Giesbrecht); nephews, Steve Godkin and Mathew Giesbrecht; and son Ken Hildebrand. Ron was born on October 13, 1949 and grew up in St. Vital attending Glenwood School and Glenlawn Collegiate. He began working as an upholsterer, and later opened his own business, Mayfair Seating, which he ran for a number of years. He was very proud of his business and his accomplishments. At the time of his passing, Ron was employed with the City of Winnipeg, Water and Waste Department for over 20 years. Ron loved life. He enjoyed family gatherings and socializing with friends. He always had a story to tell or a joke to share. His sense of humour will be missed. Heaven will be a happier place now that Ron is there. Let the Party begin! Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. A private family interment will take place in St. Vital Cemetery. Ron will be laid to rest alongside his Dad. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation of MB, Diabetes Foundation of MB or to a charity of one's choice. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
