BETTY ALICE PION (nee CONDY) We celebrate the life of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Betty, who peacefully passed away at Riverview Health Centre on the evening of April 30, 2009. Betty will forever be remembered by children; Debbi (Norm), Diane, Jim (Bev) and Mike (Eileen); grandchildren: Jeff (Nicole), John, Melissa, Courtney, Jamison and Sarah; great-grandchildren: Kaylen and Logan. After retiring from Eaton's after 35+ years of service, Betty enjoyed life to the fullest, looking forward to each season especially summers at the lake with her family and friends where she carefully tended to her flowers, bird feeders and her well-stocked liquor cabinet. She enjoyed fishing, water sports, listening to country music, puzzles, cards, board games and dancing up a storm. Betty always welcomed people with a cup of coffee and good conversation and her grandchildren with Tootsie Pops (no matter how close to meal time). She could be counted on to lighten many a conversation in which she innocently injected her malapropisms and her much appreciated words of wisdom. Thank you so much to Dr. St. Godard, all of the nurses and support staff at Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care (3E). Your patience, kindness, care and compassion during Betty's stay were appreciated beyond words. A private family internment will take place at a later date. Betty was an animal lover who had many pets throughout her lifetime and she never turned her back on an animal in need. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to D'Arcy's A R C (Animal Rescue Centre) at 1793 Portage Avenue, 888-2266. We love and miss you! The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald St. 253-5086
