EDNA BUHR Peacefully on May 7, 2009 surrounded by family and close friends we regretfully announce the passing of Edna Buhr after a courageous battle with cancer. Edna was predeceased by her mother Agnes and father Henry as well as her siblings Harry and Elsie. She will be mourned by her sisters Loretta, Maria, Lillian, Renetta (Jim), Minnie and brothers Irwin (Margaret), and James (Joyce), sister-in-law, Delores and her very dear cousin Judy Joyce as well as many nephews and nieces whom she spoke of lovingly. Those close to Edna knew that she was a kind soul who had great faith in the Lord and was at peace knowing that she would meet her Saviour. On May 7 she did just that when Jesus opened his arms and gathered another angel. Edna had many good friends she had made over the years and was comforted and very grateful for those who made her last days brighter. She remained positive and strong through her illness, as she had always been throughout her life. The family gratefully acknowledges Loretta and her daughters for the loving care they gave Edna during her illness. Also a special thank-you to Pastor Hughes for his daily visits. In keeping with Edna's wishes, a viewing will take place at Chapel Lawn on Tuesday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. with funeral service immediately following at 3:00 p.m. Cremation and burial will follow at a later date with Edna's final resting place in Edenberg Cemetery alongside her parents.
