Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUDY VICTOR FRIESEN After a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis, Rudy joined his Lord and Saviour in the early hours of Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 62 years of age. He is survived by his wife Deborah Lynn (nee Pennell); their children Alisa (Chris), Melanie, Timothy, Andrew (Kendra); their grandson Brayden; his brother Harold and sister Lorena (Wayne); nephews; and many other loved ones and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Betty and his nephew, Jason. Rudy was born in Brandon, MB on January 20, 1947 and grew up in Winnipeg. He attended Briercrest Bible College and trained as a Psychiatric Nurse in Selkirk, MB. He met his wife, Debby, who he married on May 18, 1974. They moved to Killarney, MB in 1976 where he worked as a Community Mental Health Worker for 30 years. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Community Church in Killarney, MB with option for viewing at 1:00 p.m. Donations will be accepted in lieu of flowers to the Manitoba Lung Association (for Pulmonary Fibrosis) or Canadian Sunday School Mission.
