ROGER JOSEPH LAVERGNE September 6, 1938 - May 9, 2009 Peacefully on May 9, 2009 with his family by his side Roger passed away at the Riverview Health Centre. Roger was predeceased by his dad Florian and mom Sarah, sister Joan and brother Oliver. He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis, sons Allan (Karen), Brian (Ella), grandchildren Kelsey, Brenden, Evan and step grandchildren Tyler and Nicole also brothers Edward and Red, sister Jeanette. Roger will be missed by his friends from the Winnipeg School Division #1 where he was an electrician for over 20 years and remained close to all his friends at the Winnipeg School Division until he passed away. He loved his job with the school division but due to his health he had to retire early. Roger was a kind and generous person and was always willing to help anyone that needed help. Respecting Roger's wishes there will be no formal service, but a gathering in his honour will be held on Thursday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West. Thank you to the Riverview Health Centre for all the kindness shown to Roger the last few years. Special thanks to Dr. Janis for all her kindness shown to us during this difficult time.
