Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNATALIE SOZANSKY It is with great sadness that the family of Natalie Sozansky announces her death in the early hours of May 11, 2009. Natalie was born to Mary and Andrew Sozansky on December 4, 1920. The eldest of four children, she was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Eric and Val, her brother-in-law George Sim and her nephew Colin. She is survived by her sister Anne Sim, sister-in-law Orma Sozansky, and a large extended family. She was a loving aunt to two generations of nieces and nephews and will be missed by: Peggy (Tom) Sozansky; Deirdre (Malcom), Eric and Shelagh Crooks; Peter (Judy) and Kevin Sim; Catherine Sim; Adrien Sozansky and Norma Sozansky. Natalie received her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Manitoba and enjoyed a long and rewarding career in education. After teaching in rural Manitoba, she moved to Winnipeg where she taught at West Kildonan, Carpathia, John Dafoe and Montrose schools. She was principal at Sir John Franklin and Gladstone schools. Natalie had many talented students and took great interest in their careers through the years. The family wishes to thank the staff and Victoria Hospital for their patience and care and also the home care workers who made it possible for her to spend the winter in her own home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk. Burial will follow in the East Selkirk Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in Natalie's memory may be made to a charity of their choice.
