Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNEIL WILBERT FRANCE February 23, 1931 - May 9, 2009 With heavy hearts, the family of Neil France announces the passing of their father/grandfather, great-grandfather on May 9, 2009 at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Victoria and sister Lucy. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Florence (Eddy), Edna (Jack), brothers, Clarence (Claire) and Bob (Winnipeg), daughters, Marilyn (Bill), Darlene (Harry), Bonnie (Dennis), Donna (Rob), grandchildren, Terrina, Kenneth, Gordon, Jeff, Darren, Joey, Kevin, Christopher and Bonnie, and 12 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to his friends and neighbours who made his life so much more bearable, Tom and Linda, Jane and Phil, Steve Zelinsky and Mr. Brown. Neil was born February 23, 1931 in Winnipeg. He was a very kind and generous man with a great sense of humour and a very big heart. He was a 40 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 4 and that was his special place to spend his time over the years. His greatest joy was spending time with family and special friends. At Neil's request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. His final resting place will be attended by a small family gathering. A celebration of his life will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at St. James Legion, Branch No. 4, 1755 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to St. James Legion, Branch No. 4, in Neil's memory.
