Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY DEMEDASH Peacefully after a short illness Mary age 86 years passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital, on Monday, May 11, 2009 surrounded by her family. Mary was born on January 15, 1923 in the Ukraine, and immigrated to Gimli, Manitoba, with her family. She married Steve in 1941, residing most of her life in Winnipeg. Mary was a devoted member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church. She was predeceased by her husband Steve, on November 7, 1998; and brother Steve Horbal. Mary leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons Ron and wife Josie, and Larry and wife Kari; two grandsons Stephen and John; three sisters Stella, Kay, and Jarice (Tony); brother Mike(Mary); three sisters-in-law Phyllis, Helen, and Mary; numerous nieces, and nephews, and other relatives. Prayers will be held on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. also at the Church. Rt. Reverend Mitrat M. Buyachok officiating. Interment will follow in the Dnister Cemetery, Gimli, Manitoba.
