Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMABEL AGNES BABISKY (nee SWAIN) Suddenly on May 12, 2009 at her residence, Mabel Babisky, aged 74 years, of East Lower Fort Garry, MB passed away. Mabel was born on May 21, 1934 and had lived in Lockport where she met and married Gerald Babisky on August 14, 1954. She worked at the Betel Home in Selkirk until retiring in 2000. Mabel was predeceased by her husband, Gerald, in 1996 and leaves to cherish her memory, her three sons, Brent, Randy (Donna) and Larry, and sisters-in-law Betty Skrypnyk, Marge Taylor, Laura (Dennis) Troniak, Lois (John) Serbu, Lynne (Bob) Price and Myrna Stamm. Mabel was a kind and caring person who had a gift for caring for people with needs greater than her own. Upon retirement she chose to take this gift and continued working in home care right up until her untimely passing. She had a love for music, gardening and crossword puzzles, as well as getting together with her close friends to play bingo. Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 17 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cremation will follow and a memorial service will be held on Monday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Little Britain United Church. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Fund, 6 Donald St. Winnipeg R3L 0K6. Always loved and remembered, your family.
