Evie was born in the Gowancroft District and grew up in Londesboro District and Pilot Mound, Manitoba. She married Irwin Frith in 1935. Their life through the Depression (Dirty Thirties) did much to shape her character. She was hard working, frugal, traditional and firm in her faith. She was an enthusiastic gardener and tireless knitter until, in the last few years, ill health interfered. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All her family and many, many friends will sadly miss her. A funeral service was held in Pilot Mound United Church, Saturday May 2 with Graham Funeral Service in care of arrangements; Rev Irene Onuch officiating. In her memory those who so desire may make donations to the Pilot Mound United Church Memorial Fund or a charity of their choice.
