JUNE LOUISE HERGESHEIMER 1934 - 2009 Peacefully, on May 13, 2009, June was called to her heavenly home. June was born on January 5, 1934 to John and Pauline Hergesheimer. She became a child of God at her baptism on February 4, 1934. June was predeceased by her parents and leaves behind her sister, Pat and brother John (Jackie), nephews David and Allan and their children, and niece Trish Nobre (Sam) and great nephew Miguel. June attended Holy Cross Lutheran School for a short time where she learned Yes, Jesus Loves Me, the Bible tells me so . June was loved and cared for by her parents at home for 46 years. When they could no longer do this due to health reasons, they made the most difficult decision to place June in the care of the Manitoba Developmental Center in Portage la Prairie where she lived for 29 years until her death. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman Avenue, Winnipeg, with Pastor R. Kruesel officiating. Interment will be at Glen Eden next to her parents. The family sincerely thanks the staff at the MDC, for their loving and compassionate care of June.
