ELSIE JOSEPHINE GROTTENBERG The family of Elsie Josephine Grottenberg, Grant Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba sadly announce the passing of a dearly loved lady on May 12, 2009 in St. Boniface Hospital. Born in Menisino, Manitoba in 1919, Elsie served in the RCAF in the Second World War. For many years she worked as an office clerk in Winnipeg. Elsie touched the lives of many people who enjoyed her quick wit and generous heart. She is predeceased by her siblings Harold, Wilbert and Florence, brother John (Jack) and dear pet, Muffin. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by sister Florence (Calgary, Alta), brother Melvin (Vernon, BC), numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends Barbara Kearney and Dr. Willard. Elsie's life will be honoured on Tuesday, May 19 at a chapel service in Thompson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, at 10 am. Donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3.
