RUTH ELIZABETH DOHERTY (nee ARMSTRONG, DUNCAN) Peacefully on May 11, 2009, Ruth passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 78. Ruth is predeceased by her husbands Adam Cec Duncan, Harold Les Doherty, daughter Heather-Lynn, parents Harry and Olive, sister Gloria and brothers Victor and Stan. She will be sadly missed by daughter Brenda (Richard) (Kevin), sons Harold (Carla), Glenn (Lisa) (Debra) and John as well as nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her brother Henry (Lucille), sister-in-law Agnes and brother-in-law Ross. Ruth was born and raised in Winnipeg. Over the years she worked for Nutty Club, Canada Packers, Armstrong Printing and Golden Links Lodge as well as Avon and Totally Tropical Plants. She loved to spend time in the garden and enjoyed golfing, bowling and fishing. Cremation has taken place and in compliance with Ruth's wishes no formal service will take place. Thank you to Dr. Kevin Coates and to the staff of St. Boniface Hospital 6th floor and the palliative care unit.
