PAUL REDER Peacefully on May 14, 2009, at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB with his loving family at his side, Paul Reder, aged 86 years of Moosehorn, MB, dearly beloved husband of Ruth, went home to be with his Lord. Paul was born on December 29, 1922 in the New Home School District near Moosehorn, MB. Growing up on a farm, Paul discovered that farming would be his lifelong challenge and fulfillment. He met and married the love of his life Ruth who worked along with him on the family farm. Paul was a hard worker and although he worked at other jobs, his farm and animals were his greatest pride. Paul and Ruth retired from farming in the early 1990s. Paul was an honest and dependable man and throughout his life was very active in church and community service. He served on the Church Council for many years, was a founding member of the Moosehorn Credit Union and the Moosehorn Co-op. Some of his other interests included baseball, curling, golf and playing pool at the Senior's Centre. Paul leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Ruth (Wersch) of 62 years; children Donald (Sue) Reder, Karen (Donnie) Nachtigall, Jeff (Carol) Reder, Susan (Richard) Kolbauer; son-in-law Lloyd Nickel, 10 grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Ava and North; his sister Irene Drewlo along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Lynda Nickel, brother Otto and sisters Christina and Amanda. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at the Peace Lutheran Church in Moosehorn, MB with Pastor Terry Throndson officiating. Interment to follow in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church. Pallbearers will be his grandsons Paul, Eric, Warren, Ryan, Clair and Trent. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters Lara, Juli, Gina, Robyn, Courtney, Lily, Kendra, Kristy and Kathryn. The family would like to thank the doctor's and all the caregivers of the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern for all the care and help they gave to Dad.
