LLOYD E. MORIN It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our dear husband and father on May 15, 2009. Left to mourn are his wife of 58 years Mary, daughter Barb Unrau (Rick), son Jim (Kellie), sister Eileen Symes of Victoria, BC and many nieces and nephews. Lloyd was born in Langenberg, SK in 1923 to Jim and Julia Morin and was the youngest of four children, Hazel, Murray and Eileen. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1937. Lloyd was a hard worker and had many different jobs in his lifetime but found his true calling as a gifted painter and wood refinisher. He worked for Winnipeg Building and Decorating for 27 years until he retired in 1988. In his youth Lloyd was an avid roller skater and later became an amazing social dancer. He loved fishing, bowling, darts, and playing cards but his two greatest loves were playing pool and golfing with his buddies. He was a member of the Masons for 40 years. He will always be remembered for the sparkle in his beautiful blue eyes, his willingness to help a friend in need, his quick wit and his creative story telling. We will all miss you Lloyd (Dad). Thank you to Home Care for their help over the past three years and for the care provided by the doctors, nurses and support staff at the Victoria General Hospital. A private interment will take place on May 21 but family and friends are invited to gather in a celebration of Lloyd's life on Saturday, May 23rd in the banquet hall (lower level), Pembina Hotel, 1011 Pembina Highway, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (light lunch provided).
