ROBERT WILLIAM (BOB) DAWYDUK
Born: Apr 11, 1953
Date of Passing: May 12, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT WILLIAM (BOB) DAWYDUK Unexpectedly, on May 12, 2009, Robert William (Bob) Dawyduk passed away in Richmond, BC. Bob is survived by several family members: in Winnipeg, Manitoba, his mother Louise, brothers Steve, John, Richard (Lesly), Gary (Eileen), nephews Nikolas, Ryan (fiancée Melissa) and Jarrod (fiancée Michelle), grandnieces Haley and Teagin; in Shilo, Manitoba, his niece Anna (fiancée Geoff); and in Fort Frances, Ontario, his brother Tom and nephew Jamie. He was predeceased by his father William in 2006, sister-in-law Ingrid in 2005 and sister-in-law Barb in 2009. Bob was born in Winnipeg on April 11, 1953, the third of Bill and Louise's six boys. He graduated from River East Collegiate in 1971 and moved to Richmond, BC in 1974 where he would reside for all but a few years of his remaining life. In Richmond, Bob pursued a career as a commercial electrician, working primarily for Schneider Canada and its predecessor Federal Pioneer. In his life Bob would travel extensively, but his sense of adventure was especially fulfilled while pursuing his love for motorcycles and his favourite hobbies of hunting and camping. For Bob, it was in the theatre of the outdoors that the lessons and rewards of life were learned and reaped, through deep observation, interaction and respect for nature. Bob's sense of humour was one-of-a-kind. He was able to see the comic possibilities in every situation and, with this, he was able to make good times better and sad times more bearable. Wherever he was, in any social situation, there would be a constant stream of laughter. Bob will be sorely missed by his family and his many friends. Mother Nature, too, is bereft of a great friend. In the wake of his untimely departure, we must all cherish the many memories, lessons and laughter he gave us and all do our best to keep his unique spirit alive. We encourage all of Bob's family and friends to do this at his Celebration of Life which will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Friday, May 22, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bob's memory to Ducks Unlimited, P.O. Box 1160 Stonewall, MB, R0C 2Z0. Anyone wishing to send a condolence on line, please visit passagesmb.com. The family wishes to extend grateful thanks to the support staff of Richmond Hospital for their help in a time of great grief.
