BRADLEY JACKSON LELLIOTT July 15, 1973 - May 13, 2009 It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the death of Brad Lelliott after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. In 2001 Brad met the love of his life Tracy and together they had two adorable sons, Ryan and Kyle, and along with stepson Jason formed a beautiful family unit. After his initial diagnosis, Brad was able to fulfill two dreams of his, marrying his beloved Tracy and graduating from the Winnipeg Police Academy. Brad was the proud recipient of the Don Gove Memorial Trophy; an award voted on by the recruits and instructors in recognition of the individual who was viewed as the most ideal Police Officer. Brad carried himself in a fashion that always had compassion, kindness, humour and love at the forefront. His way was an inspiration to us all throughout his life and in his last remaining days. Brad's legacy can be best seen in the eyes of his handsome boys and is captured eloquently in the following passage: One word frees us of all the weight and pain in life. That word is love. Socrates We take great comfort in knowing that Brad's love for us remains in his soul and his soul will never leave us. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten. It broke his heart to leave us and ours to let him go. Brad will be dearly missed by his mother Eleanor, father Russell (Michelle), sisters Carin (Todd) and Nancy (Dave), in-laws Donna and Murray, stepbrother Ian, sister-in-law Shannon, nieces Brianne, Carlee, Riley and Hailley, nephew Tyler, his police fraternity and his many dear friends. The family wishes to thank all those at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their loving care. The family invites you to attend a celebration of Brad's life at 11:00 a.m., May 25, 2009, at Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Manitoba CancerCare or to the Bradley J. Lelliott Trust Fund that has been set up for his children. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
