She was born April 25, 1923 in the R.M. of Morris, MB to Aganetha and Jacob Dueck. Mom was predeceased by her infant son John, sisters Nettie, Mary, Kay, little brother Peter, and son-in-law Ed Barchuk. Many nieces and nephews all dear to her heart, and of course her good friends around Transcona, whom she often met for coffee. Mom has always been a hard worker, having various jobs in the service industry. She was very independent and able to purchase her own home while providing for her family. She loved to go out, and bingo had been one of her favourite past times. She volunteered for the Heart and Stroke Foundation for over 30 years, along with many other organizations including the Cancer Society, and Kidney Foundation, always wanting to help those less fortunate. Her family and pets were everything to her. Mom's strong work ethic, big heart, stubborn disposition, and open door to all will never be forgotten. Special thanks to the staff at the Concordia Hospital, as well as many friends and family for their continued support. Rest in peace Mom. We love you. Sharon, Ron, Gary and Lori.
