HELEN FRANCES KELLY (nee KLIPS) With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Helen Kelly, beloved wife of the late Perry Kelly, our mother, grandmother and best friend on Monday, May 18, 2009 in her 82nd year. Her memory will be cherished by her three children, Terry (Kelly) Kelly-Laviolette, Norman (Nancy) Kelly and Sheilagh (Dave) Antoniuk; six grandchildren, Jordan and Darcy Kelly-Laviolette; Michael and Bryan Kelly, Duncan and Sara Antoniuk; her sister Edith (Ron) Swan; nephews, Sheldon (Debbie), Rob and Richard (Sarah) and their families and her great friend and faithful companion, her dog, Traci. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Frances and Peter Klips. Helen was a friend to all. She always made time for coffee and a visit. From her early days at TCA (Air Canada) as a computer programmer through being active in her children's school years and activities, to her later working years with Welcome Wagon and as the Office Manager at Sub Arctic Cruise Lines, she collected a wealth of lifelong friends. Mom enjoyed being an honored volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society for over 25 years, and never missed a year of canvassing. She was known to many as an astrology guru and willingly offered direction and advice based on the movement of the planets, including a critique on the weather and the seasons. She was an avid reader and never missed an evening with the bridge girls. Mom loved her summers at the cottage in Lac Du Bonnet and winters in Florida with her family. Gramma cherished her time with her grand-children and was an active part of their activities and schooling. Everyone who knew Helen will always remember her solidly optimistic view of life, decisive opinions, quick wit, cheerful disposition and helpful words of encouragement. She was a pillar of strength for her family, relatives and friends. A bright light has forever gone out of our lives. She will be sadly missed by all. Sincere thanks to Dr. F. Salem and the staff of Vista Medical Centre for their many years of caring. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Send expressions of sympathy to www.mem.com
