GARTH DAVID BELL January 15, 1937 May 19, 2009 On Tuesday, May 19, 2009, Garth passed away at the Grace Hospital with his family by his side at the age of 72 years. Our Dad made the transition to a new place after a courageous battle with Cancer. Dad leaves the fondest memories, his five children and ten grandchildren. His children Garth Jr., Cathy (Andy), Donna, Brenda (Craig) and Chris; his grandchildren Jeremy, Adam, Chelsea, Gabriel, Taylor, Remy, Jaclyn, Matthew, Sammy and Curtis. Also with wonderful memories is our Mom, Carolyn and his big brother Barrie. For all that were blessed to share his life with him, knew that our Dad cherished his time spent with family at V. B. and looked forward to special Christmases together. He enjoyed his fishing and hunting trips with his friends. Dad loved walks with his best friend Jessie his dog. In compliance with Dad's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A special thank you to the caring staff at 5 North Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dad's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society of Manitoba, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. In Dad's words If my kids have heroes, I hope I'm one of them. Yes Dad, you are not only our hero, but our friend forever.
