AGNES MARY DOUGLAS (nee OWENS) January 14, 1924 - April 16, 2009 With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Agnes, on 16 April 2009, peacefully, with her immediate family by her side. Agnes is survived by her devoted husband Kenneth Douglas, their daughter Karen Ann Douglas, son-in-law Alfonso Peccia, her sisters Olive Pelland, Terry Boutang and Rita Milewski, brothers-in-law Joe Milewski and Bill Dawes, sister-in-law Barbara Douglas and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Evelyn, father Andrew and brother Edward. Agnes was raised in Vassar, Manitoba and lived in Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Africa. A truly exceptional woman with a warm, gentle, and generous spirit, she will be greatly missed by all that knew her. A memorial service, followed by a reception, will take place on Friday, 29 May 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. A private family interment of the cremated remains will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
