MARIE ADAMCHUK Peacefully on May 19, 2009, Marie passed away at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 90 years. Marie is survived by her son John; daughters Diane Rivers and Barbara; grandchildren William and Rebecca and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander on December 2, 1997 after 55 years of marriage. Marie was born in Vita, MB and married at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of St. John Cantius Parish since 1961. She loved entertaining and was an excellent cook, often donating to church functions. One of her hobbies was gardening in which she took great pride. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and is dearly missed. Special thanks to Dr. H. Da Silva, Dr. L. Da Silva, Maria, Angie and Naid. Also special thanks to St. Boniface Hospital, 5th floor Medicine; 4th floor Geriatrics, especially Dr. Suzanne Thille and all the wonderful staff for giving our mother excellent care. God bless you all. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 27 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Avenue. Viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Church. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, on Osborne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
