JOHN MELVIN SIMONSON December 8, 1940 - May 21, 2009 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our brother John who left us on May 21 to be with our Mom and Dad. John spent his childhood in Fannystelle and eventually made his home in Altona. John spent 30 wonderful years working at the OTC until his recent retirement. He loved working there. John is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Carole and Brian Tinkler and family and brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Norma and family; his very special mentor and friend Deb Winter; and all his family including staff at the 204 residence; also many relatives and friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Richard, Lloyd, Ann, Helen, Sarah and many friends in the wonderful town of Altona. A special thanks to Dr. Kliewer. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., May 25 at the EMM Church in Altona. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to ADAMH (Altona District Association for the Mentally Handicapped), specifically to the 204 residence where Johnny resided. Box 330, Altona, MB ROG OBO.
