ANNE ZAK (OROBKO)

ANNE ZAK (nee OROBKO) Peacefully on May 22, 2009, Anne passed away. She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1990 and son Gregory in 1991. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Julie Dixon, Andrea Jackson, Bernadette (Grant) Mandrick, Catherine (Blair) Stevenson; daughter-in-law Irene Snell; grandchildren, Geoffrey, Anthony, Aaron, Heather, Mitchell, Robyn, Sarah, Rebecca, David, Alexander, James and Eric; great-grandchild William, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Anne was born March 14, 1927. She was married in 1948 and lived her life for her family. She was kind, generous, loving and had a great sense of humour. These qualities made her a wonderful friend, aunt, Grandma and most of all Mother. She always made her children feel special. She was a member of the St. John Cantius CWL for over 50 years and was proud to serve God and country. Her faith in God was an example to all her family. She touched many lives and all those who knew her will miss her. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society. Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at St. John Cantius Church, 846 Burrows Ave., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held in Green Acres Cemetery. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in Peace.
