YVONNE GISELLE MARIE TOPOROWSKI (nee LAMIRAND) Surrounded by her family, Yvonne Toporowski passed away on Friday, May 22, 2009 at 5 o'clock in the evening, at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Yvonne was born on October 7, 1963 in Edmonton, Alberta. She also lived in Ethelbert, Dauphin, and most recently, in Winnipeg. During her life Yvonne touched many people with her generosity and her kindness. During her career as a healthcare aide, she helped those around her in their times of need, always providing comfort and support. Yvonne had many hobbies and interests; too many to name them all. However, one of her favourite pastimes was camping with her family. Many memories were made on car trips to the lake and hikes through the woods. Yvonne will be remembered for her outgoing personality and her love of life. In addition to many friends, Yvonne is survived by many family members, including her husband of 18 years Glen Toporowski; her daughter Amanda and son-in-law Roman; granddaughters, Jasmine and Lexus; her mother Frances Pisdustwa; her mother-in-law Olga Toporowski; her sisters-in-law, Cindy and Sonya; and her brother-in-law Wayne. She is preceded in death by her father Joseph Edward Lamirand. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Reception Center, 4000 Portage Avenue in Winnipeg. Yvonne will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin.
