ALDA M. SHELDON Peacefully, on May 23, 2009 at the Grace Hospital, Mom went to be with Dad. Mom was born January 12, 1932, in Vita, Manitoba. She was raised in southern Manitoba with her nine siblings. Mom moved to Winnipeg where she met and married Dad. Together they raised five children; sons Garry (Barb), Don (Pokey), Tom (Cathy), Freddy (Cori) and daughter Marlene (Dave). Mom also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren with two more on the way in June. The many memories of Grandma, Great-Grandma are held by Michael (Barb), Craig (Katrina), Brent (Ashley), Derrick (Erin), Jason (Jen), Keith, Holly (Kris), Cam (Megan), James, Dylan, Samantha, Connor, Fionnagh, Bryce, Leiah, ? and ? Left behind to remember Alda is her brother Phil and sisters Isabel and Fern (John) along with sisters-in-law Dorothy, Kathy and Elaine. Mom will also be remembered by sister-in-law Alice and many extended family members. The family wishes to thank the many friends and neighbours in her building. Many thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospital 3rd North for their care and compassion for Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alda's name may be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
