ANNE MORHUN (nee MOTUZYSHYN) September 19, 1924 - May 23, 2009 It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Anne Morhun on May 23, 2009. Anne was predeceased by her parents and brother Mervin. Left to cherish her memory are John, her dear husband of 61 years, her children Jim (Lucille), Alan (Lise) and her most cherished jewels, grandchildren Christopher, David and Janelle. Anne is also survived by sisters-in-law Sonja St. Eloi and Teena Gusto. Anne was a kind, gentle woman. She was devoted to her family and loved to bake for and spoil them with generous gifts. Early life was one of hard work on the farm. After her marriage in 1947, Selkirk became home until retirement to Winnipeg. Anne was very devout and lived her life according to God's Word. She loved to read, travel, share a joke and visit with friends and always searched for a great recipe. Her love of all animals had no boundaries. Beloved Baba, we are heartbroken to send you to your Heavenly Home above, but are comforted to know you are waiting to welcome those you love. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Green Acres Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at St. John the Apostle Ukrainian Catholic Church, 31 Riel Avenue, St. Vital. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne's memory to The Humane Society of Winnipeg, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
