Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN MARION JEAN DOMIN February 5, 1943 May 24, 2009 Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, died before her time after a long struggle with liver disease. Predeceased by her mother Jean. Survived by her husband Rod; daughters Brenda, Bev (Ken) and Bonnie (Russ); sons Fred and Richard; sister Susan (Michele) and brother David (Sheila). Proud and loving grandmother to Kyle, Stephen, Jerimia, Craig, Dalton, Kaitlin, Zach and Taylor. Dear friend since childhood to Lenore Baker, Mary Wallace and Ruth Lahn. Kathy loved planning family and holiday celebrations, which she enlivened with her story telling and quick and sometimes wicked wit. She triumphed over much adversity in her life and met her last challenge with grace, dignity and a sense of humor. Kathy was much loved and will be deeply missed. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with a reception to follow. The family is grateful for the patience, care and attention of Drs. Konrad and Romanowski, and wishes to express their appreciation to the ICU staff at HSC and ICU and 6A staff at St. Boniface Hospital, especially Barb, Doris, Frank, Monique, Reid and Seema. Flowers, especially yellow and white flowers (Kathy's favourites) are welcomed. MOM From the day you open up your eyes, and see her special face, To the guidance that she gives you through life's hectic winding race. She hugs you when you need her, and leaves you when you don't. She lets you have your privacy, but then sometimes she won't. She always seems to know what's right, when the world seems so confused. She holds you when you feel the pain, after your pride has been a little bruised. She teaches you the basics, and talks you through the new. She makes up special stories, to ad-lib them right on cue. It takes a very special person, to be called this name with honor, To stand beside this woman, and proudly be her daughter. I think of her most everyday, and when she comes to mind, My head fills with lighthearted thoughts, and the right word is hard to find. The expressions that I feel are sometimes hard to come, Which is why my highest love is always given to Our Mom. To Our Mother We Love You Mom. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
