ALMA MARIE ALBINA ELLA MORISSETTE (nee LAVOIE) 1918 - 2009 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear Alma on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg at the age of 90 years. Remaining to forever cherish Alma's memory are her surviving children; Laurent (Carole), Albert (Lori), Lucille (Raymond) in BC, Benoit (Darlene), Hector, Marcel (Anne), Edmond (Julie), and Monique (Norman) in Arborg and many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister Bertha (Martin) O'Neil of Portage la Prairie; her brothers Alphonse (Rachel) of Estevan, SK, George (Rita) of Starbuck; sisters-in-law Joyce of St. Claude and Elaine Falls of Steinbach and numerous nieces and nephews. Alma has gone to join her husband Oscar who passed away in 1996; parents Blanche (nee Lacroix) and Ulderic Lavoie; sisters Marie Lagassé (Wilfrid), Irene Gervais (Theodore) and Amanda Grant (Frank); brothers Roland, Alfred, Armand, Maurice and Ernie, and daughters-in-law Estelle and Avril. Born in St. Eustache, Alma grew up in the Belcourt area. She also resided in Fannystelle, Headingley, Starbuck and at the Foyer Valade in Winnipeg. A funeral Mass will be held at the Sacré-Coeur-de-Jésus Catholic Church in Fannystelle on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Father McKenzie and Polz presiding. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Saint Boniface Hospital or to the Foyer Valade in Winnipeg, MB.
