GLENN OLSEN June 4, 1935 - May 24, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Glenn Harold Olsen, on May 24, 2009. Glenn was born on June 4, 1935 at Lundar. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Vallie and John Olsen. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Joyce, his two daughters, Shelley (Rod) Campbell and Crystal (Jonathan) Silden and five grandchildren, Reid and Ashley Campbell and Lee, Jake, and Cole Silden. Glenn is also survived by his brother Herman (Alma) Olsen. Glenn was a very hard worker and he operated the family business, Olsen's Store, from 1966 to 1998. He loved the outdoors and spent many hours of enjoyment hunting, quadding, golfing, and snowmobiling with his grandson Reid and son-in-law Rod. Glenn was a very kind and gentle man whose greatest joy was his family. He cherished every minute he spent with his grandchildren. In keeping with Glenn's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. There will be a private family memorial held at a later date. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. K. Graham for his compassionate care and to the staff at Stonewall Hospital. Also, sincere thanks to Dr. Houston and Dr. Giannouli and the nursing staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their excellent care.
