SHARON ANGEL MILES In the early hours of Tuesday, May 26, 2009, Heaven became a very interesting place. The pearly gates opened and Sharon entered. Heaven will never be the same. Cradled in the arms of her very good friend Maria who she loved dearly, Sharon Angel Miles entered into eternity to be with her Lord and Saviour. Although we will miss her forever, we take comfort in knowing that we will one day be reunited. Six years ago, we (the Devuono family) were given an incredible gift and from that day on she was family in every sense of the word. Left to forever cherish her memory are her parents, Jerry and Frieda Devuono. She was adored by her big siblings, Shirley and Art Rempel, Lindsay and Steve Stoesz, Ainslie and Devin Penner, Kathleen Devuono and fiancé Kenny Skadal, and Carla Kalluk. Sharon was an awesome aunty to Makayla and Isabella Rempel, Sophia, Geneva and Cooper Penner, Kyla, Jaylene, Nicco and Maddox Stoesz. She was loved dearly by Grandmas, Peggy Devuono and Anna Kroeker. Her loving aunts and uncles were Joann and Manfred Ziesmann, Joyce and Tibor Guban, Karl and Jackie Kroeker, Vic and Nicole Kroeker. She will also be missed by many cousins. Our Share Bear was one of a kind. She touched the hearts of so many people. This has been especially evident in the past few days through the outpouring of love and support. Bear packed so much joy into her seven and one half years of life. She went on a Caribbean cruise, where she swam with dolphins and a trip to Disneyworld in 2007. She loved spending time at the lake with family. Sharon was in tap/jazz/ballet class and was practicing for her recital June 20. We will attend the recital to watch Geneva and remember how much Sharon loved to dance. Sharon was a girly girl . She was always in full makeup and heels. She loved dresses and the colour pink. She was more efficient at navigating on the internet than any other adult in the house. Sharon loved animals, especially her dog Baby. She had two wishes in life. One was to meet Minnie Mouse (who she met at Disneyworld) and to meet Mary, who she will meet in heaven. Sharon will be so sorely missed by her best friend and partner in crime, Geneva. Together they came up with some pretty wild ideas and shared many adventures during their weekly sleep-overs. Only ten days before her passing, her nephew Maddox was born. Sharon spent the day Saturday babysitting him with Carla. She loved her nieces and nephews dearly. They were more like siblings, they did everything together. We are forever indebted to Dr. Murray Kesselman for his valiant efforts to save our Share Bear. A huge thanks to all of the nurses and staff that assisted him. We know you are suffering too. Sharon shared a special bond with her nurses including: Maria, Sherri, Alvina, Shirley and Angela. We know she loved you all dearly. Sharon attended grade two at Samuel Burland School and was adored by her classmates and teachers. Thank you all for your support. Springs Church was Sharon's home church. She loved Sunday school and doing nightly devotions. Thank you to the church for their prayers and support and for teaching Sharon about our Lord. Thank you also to Pastor Lewis for his support at the time of her passing. We encourage all those whose lives she touched to join us in a celebration of her life Friday, May 29 at 2:00 p.m., Springs Church, 725 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so wish, donations to the Southern Alberta Make a Wish Foundation in Sharon's name would be greatly appreciated.
