LARRY KUTZ It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather (Pudka) and great-grandfather at St. Boniface Hospital on May 26, 2009. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Marie Kutz and his sister Shirley Ubell. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Edna; his children, Valerie (Cliff), Joanne (Tim), Michelle (Grant) and Michael (Lisa); grand-children, Andrea (Glenn), Tracy (Roberto), Brian (Tiffany), Lauren (Marcel), Christopher, Andrew, Nicole, Adam and Alex; and his great- granddaughter Hailey. Larry was born in Rosetown, SK on September 25, 1930 and lived in Elrose until 1947. The family moved to Lucky Lake, SK in 1947 where Larry finished high school and then joined the RCAF in 1948. He spent five years in the Air Force and then returned to Lucky Lake to work with his father at Lucky Lake Motors. In 1955, he married Edna Funk and they raised four children. He drove a school bus for 10 years and operated a furniture store for two years until moving his family to Winnipeg in 1966. He worked at Acme Bedding Furniture until his retirement in 1993. He and Edna moved to Spruce Sands to enjoy their retirement years. He was active in the New Horizons 55+ floor curling association and was proud to serve as President of the Gimli Lawn Bowling Club for two years. He enjoyed his daily walks, family gatherings, golfing and feeding the birds and deer. The family wants to thank the Dialysis Staff at St. Boniface Hospital and especially the caring and compassionate staff in the MICU. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba - 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 or the Kidney Foundation - Manitoba Branch - Unit 1 - 452 Dovercourt Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3Y 1G4 or to a charity of your choice. Memorial service will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 113 7th Avenue, Gimli on Saturday, May 30 at 1:00 p.m. Private family interment will take place at a later date. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
