BERNADETTE BIBIANNE (BERNIE) LAURIN Peacefully at Taché Centre Bernadette passed away. Her prayers were finally answered. Bernadette was born at Ste. Anne-des-Chênes on June 1, 1909. She was the last surviving member of her family. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jean, Edouard, Oril, and Paul, her sisters, Yvonne, Catherine, Josephine, Marie-Louise Tétreault and Marie-Anne Duguay. She is survived by one sister-in-law Bernadette Laurin. She was a wonderful aunt who touched everyone's heart in her special way. She was a person who easily made friends and kept them for life. Many thanks to those friends and family who came to visit and phoned her. She appreciated all those mornings and afternoons you gave up to be with her. We will all miss the stories she shared with us during those visits. She had a keen mind and a vivid recall of the past and a great interest in current events. But mostly we will miss her wonderful sense of humour. She made us laugh. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Taché especially 3DE and 2ABC for their love and caring attention. Prayers were held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 30 at Précieux-Sang Roman Catholic, 200 Kenny Street. Interment will take place at a later date in Ste. Anne, Manitoba.
