Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryASTRID MARIE STORRY (nee THORSEN) November 26, 1940 - May 25, 2009 Astrid Marie Storry, beloved wife of Bob Storry of Okotoks, AB passed away suddenly on Monday, May 25, 2009 with her loving family at her side at the age of 68 years. Astrid was born in Vancouver, BC but lived in Winnipeg, MB with her parents, Per and Gita Thorsen and brother Lindy, for most of her early years. She graduated from Gordon Bell High School and went on to graduate with a nursing degree from the Winnipeg Children's Hospital. During her final year of graduation, she married the love of her life Bob and they spent 48 years together, moving to Calgary in 1973. Astrid continued her work at the Children's Hospital as a school nurse and later was involved in the Brain Injury Program and SABIS for many years. She retired in 2006. Besides her loving husband, Bob, Astrid is also survived by her daughters, Wendy Storry, Becky Small, and Bobbi Jensen; son Mike Storry; brother Lindy Thorsen (Regina); and her pride and joy, grandchildren, Levi, Jesse, Chris, Chase, Cassidy, Dylan, and Taylor; as well as many wonderful friends that meant the world to her. Astrid will be remembered for her caring nature, and for the light and laughter that she brought to all our lives. We all love and miss you Grandma. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS HOLLOWAY'S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
