BEVERLEY ANNE AITKEN May 23, 1949 - May 26, 2009 Sadly after a lengthy battle with cancer Beverley succumbed to her illness peacefully on May 26, 2009 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB. At her side was her stepdaughter Elaine Meisner, granddaughter Logynn Meisner (her little took-a-took) and long time friend Mary Tauber. Beverley was born on May 23, 1949. She celebrated her 60th Birthday this past Saturday. Red Fox and Blue Eyes are now together in their mansion in eternity. Predeceased by her loving husband Frank McFadyen in 2007, parents Charles and Roberta Aitken, brother Charles (Chuck) and sisters Edith and Marion. Beverley is survived by Frank's children, Elaine (Leon) Meisner, Eileen (Dave) McFadyen, Eddie McFadyen, Francis (Neil) McFadyen, Kelly Collins (Bev treated her like a daughter); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Margaret Ashley; sisters-in-law Florence Favell and Shirley (Otto) Stemkamph; brother-in-law Gilbert Busch as well as many nieces and nephews. At Beverley's request cremation has taken place with interment to take place at a later date in Winnipeg. Service of remembrance is on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ashern Gospel Chapel Highway 6, Ashern, MB with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. The family would like to thank all of Beverley's treasured friends, home care workers and support staff for all the care she was provided with. Beverley wanted to thank the Ashern and Area Breast Cancer Support Group who helped her financially with the trips to Winnipeg the past one and a half years.
