JOYCE VALERIE WHITESIDE (nee SALTEL) 1934 - 2009 Sadly, after a lengthy battle with cancer, Joyce passed away peacefully on May 28, 2009 at Riverview Health Centre. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Valerie and husband Paul Hatch; son Vance, wife Theresa and grandchildren, Eric and Vanessa; son Bill; sister Joan Spooner and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Edith Saltel; brother Jack (Mary Elizabeth) and former husband and friend Len Whiteside. Joyce was a spiritual person who loved to read and garden, the results of which were enjoyed by many. The light of her life were her grandchildren who will always remember GJ's infectious laugh and stories. Special thanks to Drs. Czaykowski, Ahluwalia and McClure and the staff at CancerCare MB and Riverview Palliative Care Unit. A private family service will be held.
