JOSE SILVA Peacefully on May 29, 2009 at 3:40 a.m. José passed away at home surrounded by his family. José is survived by his wife of 40 years, Elia; children, Rui (Agnes), Helder (Anita), Susan (David); grandchildren, Tyler (and his mom Tonia) and Cayden; siblings, Conceicao, Esmeralda (Mariano) and Manuel (Elisa); sisters-in-law, Olga (Joao), Fernanda (Jose); his nieces and nephews, Luisa, Frank, Elisa, Sandra, Paulina, Carlos, Jose, Mike, Brian, Claudio, Dina, Shelley, Debbie, and the rest of the family in Portugal and Ontario. He will also be missed by many friends. Jose lived in Canada for 36 years. A special thanks to Dr. G. Harding, nurse Cindy and Michelle his home care nurse and the staff at CancerCare Manitoba. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, June 2 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street North with Very Reverend Father José Eduardo Medeiros, V.F. presiding.
