At the age of 19 he moved to Regina to begin work at SaskTel in the computer department , now the IT department, where he became known as Al. He spent his entire career there, enjoying the people he saw every day and taking great pride in the contributions he was able to make. Alan's first love was his family and he was extremely proud of all of them. He took great delight in spending time with them at Clear Lake, where he spent many hours waterskiing and driving his boat for family and friends.
