SHEILA L. WOOD February 22, 1942 - May 31, 2009 Sheila nursed as an R.P.N. for 40 years first in a BC mental hospital, then Selkirk Mental Hospital and lastly St. Norbert Personal Care Home. Her plans on retirement were to travel but this was not to be as her health steadily deteriorated. Sheila took great joy and pride in nature, like watching her lilac bush bloom each year, to watching the bluejays and squirrels feed on peanuts from her window sill. She adored animals and this was evident in the many pets she looked after throughout her life. To my once in a lifetime friend: You made me laugh, you made me cry. You stuck by me through thick and thin. You taught me many values in life. I'm sorry more people didn't get the chance to know what a kind and warm person you were. Thank you my friend for 23 wonderful years. Sadly missed by her best friend Norma, her adopted daughter Sheila, her second mother Wanda and and pet cat Kelly.
