EILEEN BLANCHE CROWLEY May 9, 1924 May 29, 2009 Peacefully with her family at her bedside, Eileen passed away following a brief illness. She was born in Winnipeg on May 9, 1924, grew up and attended schools in St. James. She worked for Aero Engine and later the Hudson Bay Company. Eileen married her husband of 63 years in 1946 and settled in St. Vital where she raised three children. In 1962 she and her family moved to Kenora where she worked in their family business in Kenora and Dryden. Eileen enjoyed wintering for 30 years in Marco Island, Florida where she enjoyed golfing and taking long walks on the beach. She was an avid sheller and bird watcher and was passionate about both. Eileen was very generous and witty, a very devoted wife and mother. Eileen is survived by the love of her life of 63 years, Peter Sr., son Peter Jr., of Naples, Florida; daughters Pat Foster of Kenora, ON, Jo-Anne (Doug Johnson) of Thunder Bay; Grandchildren Gabrielle Crowley of Toledo, Ohio, Robyn Favreau (Dennis) of Kenora, Ryan Foster of Penticton, BC, Jamie (Ryan) of Thunder Bay, Michael Konc-Crowley of Winnipeg; great-grandchildren Hudson Favreau and Hannah Foster and Hailey Konc-Crowley. Also survived by sister Ruth Beckman of Falcon Lake, sister-in-law Margaret Shand of New York, brothers-in-law Quinton Lawson, William Bawden, Paul (Maureen) Crowley. Eileen was predeceased by her parents Edna and Cyril Milsom; sister and brother-in-law Kay and Dave McIntosh, sister Marjorie Lawson and sister-in-law Mary Ellen Bawden, brothers-in-law Dick Beckman, and Robert Shand. A private family celebration of Eileen's life has taken place. Donations in honour of Eileen may be made to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation.
