Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJESSIE KIRK (nee LENNOX) 1920 - 2009 On May 29, 2009 at the Grace Hospice, Jessie Kirk aged 89 years, widow of the late Charles Douglas Kirk, passed away. Jessie was born on May 15, 1920 in Bellshill, Scotland. She married Doug in 1945. He passed away in April, 1988. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children; son, Gordon of Kenora and sons, Stuart and Ian of Winnipeg, as well as daughter, Glenn of Winnipeg; two nieces, Nancy Drake and Bonnie Cross, both of Winnipeg; cousin Marg Wright of Winnipeg, and grandchildren, Dougie and Patricia of Winnipeg and Jordie of Thompson. Jessie also leaves to mourn her passing, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as three great-grandchildren. Jessie met and married Doug in Scotland and came to Canada in 1945. As a result of Doug being in the armed forces, travelling all across Canada and spending two and a half years in France, Jessie had a wonderful time with Doug and family. Following Doug's passing, mom loved to go to Bingo, and up until a year ago, was bowling at Village Inn. Jessie will be missed by her many friends, especially those in the Charleswood area. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Neil Bardal Inc., 3030 Notre Dame Ave., across from Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations in Jessie's memory may be made to the Khartum Shrine Transportation Fund, 1155 Wilkes Ave., Winnipeg, R3P1B9.
