STAN BISSON It is with great sadness that his family announces the passing of Stan Bisson. Born November 21, 1948, raised in La Broquerie, Manitoba, died May 30, 2009 in St. Boniface, Manitoba after a long illness. Stan was predeceased by his father Stan Bisson (1979), one brother, François (1946), one sister, Jeanne (1989) and his mother Théodora Bisson (2006). Left to mourn his passing are his children Cherylann, Raymond, Suzanne and Monique and grandchildren Matthew, Katrina and Devon, his sisters, Marguerite (Paul Kirouac) of Ste-Anne-des-Chênes, Dianne (René Decosse) of Chapleau, Ontario, Robin (Matt Kovacs) of Winnipeg, his brothers, Gerry (Betty) of Winnipeg and Ronald (Claudette) of Ottawa and many nieces and nephews, his friends and residents of Foyer Chez-Nous in St.Boniface. Stan attended St-Joachim Elementary School in La Broquerie and High School at the Juniorate of Oblate Fathers in St. Boniface. After graduating from Success Commercial College in Winnipeg, Stan worked for St-Francis Ambulance Service in St. Boniface, St. Amant Center in Winnipeg and Sheritt Gordon Mines in Leaf Rapids, Manitoba before choosing a career in the retail field. He first managed a Marvel Mart store in Winnipeg and was transferred to Camrose, Alberta to manage the Mighty Mart store in 1974. He worked in the Leduc Radio Shack from 1983 to 1986 and then owned and operated the Camrose Radio Shack franchise from 1986 until illness forced his retirement from the retail business in December 1994. Stan lived at Foyer Chez Nous since 2000. Family, friends and residents appreciated his knowledge of computer technology and his gracious help. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
