ADAM WILLIAM SEDOR November 21, 1935 - May 31, 2009 It is with deep regret the family announces the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Peacefully, with his wife Helen, his family and close friends at his side, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer Adam passed away just after noon. He leaves to mourn his beloved Helen to whom he was married 46 and a half years, children Shelli and husband David, son Scott and wife Anita, son Todd and wife Marni. Grandchildren Fiona, Sarah, Liam, Elana, Susan, Michael, Kathleen, Thomas, T.J., and Ty. Sister Vicky Safnuk, brother-in-law Jim Carlisle. Cherished nieces, nephew, and their families. Many loving lifetime friends will forever share memories and laughter together. Adam was predeceased by his mother Jessie Protasavich, stepfather Victor, sister Lorry Carlisle, brother-in-law Lloyd Safnuk, and his in-laws Merril and Lillian Cameron. Adam was a proud employee of Labatt's, retiring in 1996 after 37 years. He and Helen lived for over 10 years in Grand Marais, the place he loved so much. Together they made many lasting memories not just for themselves but for all who were blessed to be included in their family . Adam loved Helen, his family, his friends, the lake, long weekends, sunsets, animals, weather watching, old music, old movies, his Bombers, Leafs, Yanks and Vikes. Food, especially leftovers. A delicious rum, a great party with his favourite people, lots of dancing, stories and jokes. He will be missed by so many people in so many ways. Adam lived his life passionately, on his own terms, and never faltered in his commitment to what he thought important. Many thanks to all the friends who visited Dad and called Mom. To all the staff at CancerCare, his home care nurses, and the staff at the Victoria Hospital, who treated Dad with care and respect. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to CancerCare Manitoba, or the Winnipeg Humane Society. A celebration of his life will take place Friday, June 5 at 2:00 p.m. Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Dr., Winnipeg. I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush, of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
