Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCATHERINE WIGGINS (nee MACKAY) On June 3, 2009, at the age of 93 years, Catherine Wiggins (nee Mackay) peacefully passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her son David, her sister Madge (Jack), her grandchildren Elana (Jeff) and Katherine (Bill) and great-grandchildren Ella, Sam, Rachel and Allison. After receiving her B.A. from the United Colleges and her teaching certificate from the University of Manitoba, Kay taught all her adult life. During the war years she taught in Deloraine and following that English as a Second Language to newcomers to Canada. From 1957 to her retirement in 1980 she taught Senior High English at Churchill High School. Always active in the church - she was in the choir at St. Luke's, she worked with the Jonas and the Whale Sale as well as on the Mission and Outreach Committee. A service of remembrance officiated by Rev. Dr. John Wortley will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church at 130 Nassau St. N. at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Following the service a reception will be held at 697 Willis Road in West St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
