RUTH ANDERSON Suddenly, on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at her residence, Christine Ruth Anderson, aged 69 years, of Gimli, MB. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Kerry Dankochik (Glen) and Joan Haas (Dwayne). She was a loving Amma to Matthew, Craig, Meghan, Brent, Kevin and Michael. She is survived by her brother Marvin Eyolfson (Margaret) and her sisters Clarice Demers (Marc) and Linda Ross (Garth). She will be deeply missed by her dear aunt Alice Eyolfson as well as many other family and friends. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Roy, her parents Gunnstein and Sigurbjorg, brother Keith and nephew Kris. Ruth was born May 7, 1940, in Riverton, Manitoba and moved as a young girl to Gimli where she married Roy in 1958 and raised her family. For many years she was the school secretary at Gimli Composite High until she retired to care for Roy. Ruth loved spending time caring for her home and yard, playing bingo, floor curling, cribbage and reading. Most of all she loved the time spent with her precious grandchildren. We will all miss her wonderful baking and cooking, it was the best. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 8, at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 50 - 1st Ave. in Gimli with Mona Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Husavick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9 Goda Nott Elskan Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
