MARION IRENE GRANDE With sad hearts we announce the sudden peaceful passing of Marion Irene Grande on May 30, 2009 at age 85. Marion is survived by her daughters; Diane Banera and Susan Grande (Ken Hamilton); grandsons, Jeff and Kevin Banera. Mom was a Corporal in the army CWAC from 1942 to 1946 were she served both in Canada and the UK. She retired at age 65 from Seven Oaks Hospital where she met many new friends. She bowled for many years at Northgate Bowl and could be found most Saturdays working the lunch counter while the juniors were bowling. Mom loved to knit, bake and do the daily crossword puzzle from the newspaper and was a huge Frank Sinatra fan. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff at Middlechurch Home for all their care and kindness. As per her wishes, immediate cremation has taken place and the memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 9, 1:30 p.m. at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. In lieu of flowers, contributions to your favourite charity would be greatly appreciated by the family.
