HENRY JAMES SANDERSON After a two year battle with cancer in which he fought with hope and courage to the very end Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 28, 2009. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 39 years Judy, daughter Jodi and husband Darren, son Cory (Shannon) and the loves of his life his grandchildren, Layne, Destyni (his girl) and Logan, as well as his mother Sophia, siblings Clarence Jr. (Gene), June (Harry), Ray (Cecil), Shirley (Len), Marge (Garth), David (Lesley), Dolly (Bob), John and Leo (Jan). There are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, too many to mention but all had a special place in Dad's heart. Also missing him terribly will be his furry best friends Buddy and Daisy. He was predeceased by his father Clarence Sr. in 1982. Dad was born September 9, 1947 in Saskatchewan, grew up in Winnipeg and retired to Winnipeg Beach. He was down-to-earth, never wanting or needing anything for himself but always giving of himself, and if you ever needed anything he was there for you. The family would like to thank the staff at the Gimli Community Health Center for their care and compassion they gave our Dad while he was there. At Dad's request there will be no funeral service for he did not want everyone to sit around crying, instead please think of him fondly and remember all the good times you had with him and share these memories with his children and grandchildren. If one wishes donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Children's Wish Foundation in memory of our dad. Dad you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten and will always be loved, years may come and go but your memory will never be erased.
