BERT (THOMAS HERBERT) SUTTON It is with heavy hearts that the Sutton family announces the passing of Bert on June 5, 2009, at the age of 91. Bert is survived by his loving wife Hazel, sons David (Margaret), Grant (Tracy), daughters Joan (Jack Fife) and Maureen (Andrew Lesiuk), grandsons Brad and Mark Fife. He is also survived by brothers Bob Sutton (Fran), Dick Sutton (Mary Lou), and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Molly Singleton. Bert will be remembered most for his warm friendly style, unfailing sense of humor, and complete devotion to his family. He was very proud of his service in the Royal Canadian Air Force and of his family roots in St. John's Cathedral, Winnipeg. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the many staff of Strathcona Homecare, Edmonton Home Services, and Senior Homecare by Angels, for their kindness, caring and many cups of tea (and cookies) with Bert over the last few years, as well as to all the kind neighbors and friends who gave helping hands along the way. Although this is a sad time, Bert would have wished all who knew and loved him to celebrate his life. His time on this earth has enriched and touched many a soul. In keeping with Bert's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private prayer service will be held in Winnipeg at a later date.
