EMILY MARCHUK (nee WYRCIMAGA) Peacefully on June 5, 2009, Emily left her family to join her husband who passed away in 1993. Mom was born on August 24, 1938 in Silver, Manitoba. She married on September 15, 1956 in Silver. Together mom and dad raised five children. Left to cherish mom's memory are her children: Kathy (Lawrence) and their children Trevor, Tannis, Todd and Tara; Gary (Brenda) and their children Matthew and Stacey; Beverly (Gary); Randy; Tracy (James) and their children Tyler and Jason as well as one great-granddaughter Trinity Emily, who was her pride and joy. She also leaves brother Eugene (Pat) and sisters Olga, Elenor (Clifford), and Lucy with whom she was very close. Mom was predeceased by her husband Mike on November 8, 1993, brothers John, Orest and Lawrence. Mom's best times were fishing, playing cards, bingo, cooking, and picking mushrooms where at times she would get lost in the bush. Most important to her was her family. She made a point of speaking with each of her children daily. Her grandchildren could always look forward to Baba's calls. Funeral Service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the service. Mom will join Dad at Holy Family Cemetery at a later date. A special thank you to the nurses and staff on the 5th floor of Seven Oaks Hospital, especially Pat, for all the care and compassion shown to mom during her stay. It meant so much to her family.
