ELEANOR HOWARD (nee MOLLARD) May 15, 1921 - June 8, 2009 We are sad to announce after a lengthy illness on Monday, June 8, 2009 our and your #1 fan has gone to an arena and ball park in the sky. Predeceased by her husband Reg in 2001; her parents Albert and Marion Mollard; brothers William, Ronald and Earl; sister Bernice Hutson; sisters-in-law Kathy Mollard, Faye Bishop; brothers-in-law Jack Bishop, Norm Goudie, Bogie Hutson, Clare Strowe; nephew Ron Jr. Born and raised in Stonewall, she was a life member of the Stonewall community. Eleanor married Reginald Howard in 1941 and together they raised their two children Bob and Lori and many foster sons and daughters. Eleanor was an avid sports player in her early years. She continued her love of sports by following her children's sporting events as well as others in the community. She was also a life member of the Stonewall Legion Branch No. 52 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending many summers at Wallace Lake. Eleanor is survived by son Robert (Lois) Howard and grandchildren Dyan (Anthony) Connelly of St. Louis, Missouri, Mic (Jen) great- granddaughter Ella; Kelly and her family Zac and Hunter. Daughter Lori (Gerald) Grandmont and grandchildren Jena (Jeff) and Josh. Charles (Marielle) Romanchuk and their children David, Eric and Lea. Lucy (Richard) Medwid and their children Laura (Will) and Jeff. Twins Michael and Marc Desjarlais. Also sisters Betty, Elaine, Doreen (Len) and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall. Rev. Leonard Oracheski will officiate. Flowers are gratefully declined, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2 or Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall.
